Quad Cutter And Double Painter#1454

?

There is a quad-cutter from the first shapez which is really helpful for cutting things into quarters, but it isn’t in the second shapez. A double painter also exists in the first game, which is more-color efficient, and has higher net-shape output, so something similar should exist in the second game, where it uses 10 liters of fluid to paint two shapes.

You can have a platform of 1x2 that cuts a full belt into the four quarter (each rotated to be in NE position):

what about the quad-painter of the firsh shapez too

I think a quad-cutter would be making it too easy for us. Creative constraints are good. I like the idea of returning double painters though cause it’s unique in having an extra input of the same type.

Yeah dude, exactly… we need it, i remember the goal of this game is something like “Build any shape as efficient as possible…”

So, without a Quad Cutter, some Shape will not be efficient enough.

So, without a Quad Cutter, some Shape will not be efficient enough./

How about we have separate machines that do any conceivable task? That was making any shape transformation will be as simple as passing it through one shape!
The fun of the game is to make a design as efficient as possible given the tools at hand. If the player is given all possible tools, designs would be trivial.

It’s an interesting task to design a platform that cuts a single input into four quarter outputs. And once you’ve done it, it’s very easy to blueprint and use it everywhere afterward.

That’s good content and I don’t see a reason to remove it. The game is pretty short as it is.

“buld any shape as efficient as possible”

The obvious context of that statement is, “within the constraints imposed by the game”.
