Shorthand for shape codes#2702

When trying to work with wires, I need to put in full shape codes even when dealing with single quadrants. Could it be possible that the game detects an “incomplete” code and fills in the rest automatically, rather than treating it as invalid or null? So like if I typed “Cu” the top-right quarter circle would be rendered (and next time I clicked onthe element it would show the full shape code as Cu——), and similarly I could do –Cu

I’d suggest shorthanding the dashes, but I somehow got a 30 degree rotated spike star hand typing in things, and now that I see people commenting on Hex mode it makes more sense that you wouldn’t want to do that.

Maybe it could be a repeat key! eg. Cu4 = CuCuCuCu, –Cu2 = –Cu–Cu, Rb4:3:cw4 = RbRbRbRb:RbRbRbRb:RbRbRbRb:cwcwcwcw, etc.

Some sort of shape builder UI would be better instead. It could work similarly to how you place buildings in the main game.
