I got pretty annoying by few things so here are few ideas.
Why we cant have ?
Click machine, platform/ anything. - > press 1 button ( usually its E) to put in in “hand”; then we can place it. ( it is instant copy … why i need to have ctrl+c then ctrl+v by deafult)?
Simillar: why we dont have move command ? Click on anything, press buttron will put it into hand and then we can move it. (it is ctrl+x now ..)
Rails and big pipes: Why i need to always press shift+6 and then press 1 or 2 or 3 in order to place the most basic thing in the game? It is terrible UX design.
Why are blueprints on Shift+8 and not just B? Make Shift+B to open Blueprint library but keep B as to open blueprint bar. Also put Double row to blueprint bar. Why it’s only 9? Some games have multiple rows and you can switch which one will be displayed.
This game is mainly about building blueprints and then placing them.
Sorry to say but clearly you should work on UI/UX. It’s not very intuitive and honestly.. even annoying.
You messed up the colors from previous game versions… I am not collor blind but now i have to swicth to it because you somehow made colors worse. (i think you need to lower the “glow”)
Give us ability to pin any shape so display on the main screen. Right
Related to visual clarity - requested shapez icons are too small. You have to click on them to see the whole structure. (How many times I am building manufacturing lanes and i need to open that screen again and again ? It shopuld be clear what i need to build from the main screen. ( curently you cant enlarge interface more than 100% - but only those icons are small .. not other interface elements.)
I like the game but honestly i got really intimidated by some design choices reccently.
Some of mentioned.. like “move tool” or “ instant copy tool “ I have seen in other games and they are game changing imo. It would make the game experience much more pleasing.
I am sorry for rant, I hope I haven’t offended anyone.. Anyways, good gob.
T.

for the 1. , you can press C while hovering a building/platform and it should do what you want
for the 4. , you can rebind hotkeys to something different in the settings
Sorry, I just discovered this thread.
I think what the user is really implying with point (1) is how platform movement affects platform COSTS on the higher difficulty levels.
Since there is no actual MOVE command, you effectively have to delete and recreate a platform instead (Ctrl-X, then Ctrl-V). Because the game does not reimburse the platform cost in $, you essentially lose money every time you “move” a platform.
Early game, this becomes brutal.
I just started a new game on the hardest difficulty, and I quickly realized I could not even attempt elegant or blueprint-heavy designs because the platform costs become prohibitive without either:
a true move command, or
reimbursement/refunds for deleted platforms.
