I’ve noticed that everytime I complete a milestone shape, I have to then wait probably more than 10 minutes before the shape gets delivered and the next milestone is unlocked. This could help people in the endgame, where jobs award you less than minimum wage for your efforts, have something to stare at whilst the train makes its journey.
