Fluid filter WITH SECONDARY OUTPUT#5207

Hi !
I have a big issue with the fluid filter : it only stops the flow when the fluid doesn’t match and doesn’t reroute the non-matching fluid on the side.
But then, it’s basically useless when transporting a mix of fluid colours because, since we cannot throw away the fluid that we don’t need, it stays at the front and the whole flow stops.
This causes several issues for for the universal factory for instance, we have to keep separated pipes before merging them and also, we are forced to use all the reamining fluid before being able to move on to next shape

Its not a Filter it is a valve that only lets colour on the input pass – if you think of it like that you can use several to control what will be sent down stream from that valve along the pipe
\ sending a different fluid basicaly trashes the current fluid one unit at a time so you have to send as much fluid as currently in the pipe to change it to the new one – i know i wish there was a way to just flush the pipe but that would be to easy i guess === it works like a train loader you have a partly filled package and you have to send sthe same number of new shapez to delete the ones left in the loader package before the new one starts to be created in the new package

Yup there’s a way to work with that but man it’s just painful. Also the cancelling system means that you can’t really gather several colours on the same pipe, they are cancelling eachother permanently. To me that induces horrible complexity for automated factory. So much that I gave up on it because it was just too much of a hassle and too slow because of the size of the circuits. Thanks for your answer though
