If I want to test with a belt filter, the most efficient way is to test against a shape.
When making a MAM, I’m using a Shape Analyzer and Simulated Rotator to get the corner shapes; however that outputs the uncoloured shape and the colour, while NOT outputting the coloured corner shape.
In order to do simple belt filter tests in our MAM, our options are then either trying to slice the object in to quarters (with problems from crystals), or produce just the corner shape but recoloured (with problems in crystals and trade shapes). Both are almost as complex as a partial MAM. Or I can have a specialised lookup that manually checks the shape and colour and outputs a recombined shape - yuk!
Alternatively, every belt filter shape checks both colour and shape, adding a lot of complexity and room for error.
It would be much better if the Shape Analyzer outputted not only the uncoloured shape and the colour of the analyzed corner, but also the coloured/complete shape of that corner.
