I just switched to Linux today. I have a 32:9 monitor and have been playing shapes to without issue on windows. But after switching to linux it starts, it can set the resolution. Hoenstly only playable in windowed mode.
In the title sceen it shows the normal startup with new game, quit and similar. But image is only about 16:9 maybe 25:9. But mouse acts as if it is the full 32:9 resolution. This means in the middle of the screen the mouse would be over the buttons correctly. But in the sides you have to go proportionally longer out past the button to be able to select it. Have attached a screenshot to show how extreme this can be in the title menu.
When entering the game. Then it only gets worst..
My testing is done on Ubuntu 26.04, with an Nvidia RTX5080 and Samsung 49” super Ultrawide
I notized I had som issues with Steam via Snap in Ubuntu. So switched to CachyOS which seemed to work better for Steam. But problem Persists.
It looks really Strange becuse the first part of the loading screen fits 32:9 image, but then as soon as the “loading” screen comes on it switches to the black bars on both sides and it does not sync with the mouse.
I have been playing on this screen in Windows 11 before without any issues at all.
