This suggestion is to make it so that we can change the distance a belt launcher launches. In simpler terms, to make them a funner and more whimsical alternative to tunnels from the original. This would allow for more compact designs and being more efficient with space, and could possibly require more forethought than tunnels did, since lifts block the belt launchers.

To add to this - one thought that came to mind is that you use your scroll wheel to determine the range when the sender is selected, to prevent additional menu interactions/button presses/alternative versions.
Placing an exit manually should also automatically link to the sender in the other direction as well, similar to how tunnels work in Alpha 16.1

would really love to the see sizeable launchers return from shapez 1. I thnik they would be very beneficial especially in the later stages of the games. But should be a unlockable feature for sure.
I second this! Having trouble figuring out how to route things, and I really miss the tunnels and super tunnels from shapez 1. Variable launchers would be amazing!

This would be extremely useful to make extra-compact machines. Right now, belt launchers are used to create compact machines but since they are a fixed length, they are hard to put sometimes and therefore rarely come useful. Having them work just like space belts would be useful. The same goes for fluid launchers and wire transmitters.

Really agree - routing things over each other is a pain, especially if you’re trying to stick to one layer. It especially feels strange with how you can do it with train launchers at the space level but then belt launchers don’t have that ability. I would love to see this in the game.
