Allow placing bigger foundations on top of smaller ones#888

Built a 1x1 foundation and then wanted to upgrade it to a 2x1 without deleting the 1x1. There were no connections to the foundation, in or out. It felt intuitive to do so thought I would suggest it

I can’t overstate how much I want this to be real. It would also be helpful to have it work the other way around, where you can place a 1x1 over half of a 2x1 (even if it deletes some of the tiles in the excess space).

I often start out using a 2x1 to see if I need the space, then realize I only need the space of a 1x1. Then I waste so much time copying over my ∗∗∗∗ to another foundation, then deleting the first one, then copying it back.

I tried to place an L over a 1x2, and I’m very disapointed to discover that I can’t

Isn’t this very easy to do with a copy & paste already?
