Pipes can already perform T and + crossings/junctions on a flat surface but not when connecting vertically, eating a lot of space where a simple downwards-facing T would suffice.
I’m well aware that more complex junctions (like fiveway or sixway) are computationally expensive (probably).
Part of this comment is that the absence of an expected functionality bothers me.

This would probably be a nice expensive unlock to soak up those research points when going for operator level.
depending on how it’s done, a 6 way junction shouldn’t be more expensive than two 4 ways in a row.
but yes, that would be great upgrades for pipes and wires
